9 month Teachers Training Immersion

March 23- December 19, 2013

The 305U’s Karma Yoga Teacher Training program unfolds the theories and principles of 305 Yoga & Outreach Founder, Terri Cooper. The teachings focus on the spirituality of yoga and will explore your shadow work in order to create therapeutic breakthroughs in all areas of your life. This extended program is founded on the principles of Karma Yoga which is designed to inspire action and social responsibility.

305U’s Karma Training is offered in five in 7-week modules that take an in-depth look at the following topics: Chakras, Alignment, Philosophy, Yoga in Action, and Sequencing. Each of the 5 modules meets only two times a week and the entire program takes 9 months to complete if done consecutively. Modules are also open for any interested student or practitioner without having to commit to the full training. Jump in at any time and take the modules in any order.

CHAKRA JOURNEY: Removing energetic blocks.

March 23 – May 9

Take a journey through your chakras. This transformational module reveals how exactly the 7 chakras govern different parts of our bodies and our lives. Through yoga practice, breath work, reading/writing and group discussion, we will learn where we are holding on, avoiding and completely shut down. Take the journey to balance your 7 chakras.

THE PHYSICAL BODY: Aligning the anatomical self.

May 25 – June 11

In this module you will learn five alignment principles that are used to avoid injury and transfer energy that encourages transformation in your life. This class becomes a yoga laboratory as you experience with your body’s movement to learn how proper yoga alignment affects the body and the yoga experience. Using conscious patterns of movement, we can awaken areas of our body that may be underutilized. This intense Asana series will transform your physical practice and ensure its sustainability.

YOGA IN ACTION: Finding your purpose off the mat.

June 13 – August 29

This journey is the heart of our program, as it cultivates opportunities for students to step into the role of change makers within their own communities. This work provides the platform to align with your life purpose and builds courage to take positive action. The Yoga in Action module is a leadership-training program through a yogic perspective written by Off The Mat Into The World™.

This enriching program is co-taught by Yoga Gangsters Executive Director Marisol Tamez. Participants in this module will help to produce Yoga Gangster’s annual fundraiser Yoga Aid, uniting the South Florida yoga community at large.

PHILOSOPHY: Living your yoga off the mat.

September 7 – October 24

Take your yoga practice into the world! Learn how to incorporate the teachings of your mat practice to various areas in your life. Yoga is more than how strong or flexible someone is, it is way of life. Discover how to live with more ease and explore the core philosophies of The Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita. Each we week we will discuss how things like attachment, courage, patience, and connection affect our daily experiences.

THE ART OF THE TEACHER: Sequencing, Building a following, and creating the ultimate yoga experience.

November 2 – December 19

This module is geared towards teaching level specific classes, minimizing the risk of injury and maximizing the reach of clients with various physical abilities. We will also cover how to sequence to an apex posture and how to give safe and appropriate adjustments. Discover the secrets to creating a magical yoga experience and learn what it takes to build a following as a yoga teacher. This is a perfect learning course to take for a beginner or advanced yoga teacher.
