India Retrear

Join 305 Yoga in Rishikesh India for our 10th Year!

March 22-30, 2019
This all inclusive retreat boasts accommodations overlooking the Ganges River, nestled in the quiet hills of the Himalayan Mountains.

Fall in love with India through our offerings of daily excursions to sacred sites, yoga & wisdom classes each day, fire ceremonies, vegetarian meals and a day of connection & fun with local children.

In 2009, Terri Cooper Space (Founder/Owner of 305 Yoga) backpacked across India with two friends and zero plans. Travelling from India’s southern tip to the Himalayas, and many places in between, Terri grew madly in love with this sacred land, its people, and spiritual culture.

Since then, 305 Yoga has led a yearly pilgrimage for yoga students to visit the birthplace of yoga and experience India’s majesty and magic.

“India to me was a gift from the Universe. Having this extraordinary experience made it the most powerful and inspirational time in my life. I am grateful for the many blessings of growth and mindfulness with new and old friends. I will treasure and cherish every moment forever.”
Jacqui Kelly

“India is an experience like none other. India is magic. India will leave you wanting more. India stole my heart! I am forever grateful to Terri for offering the retreat and forever grateful and in love with India.”

Christina Pumo

“There are no words to fully describe the depth of my experience in India. It was rich, eye opening, and life changing. I come home with a broader perspective of myself, others, and the world. I wish that every Westerner could experience India. There is no way you could come home unchanged.”

My first journey to India in March 2015, with my 305 Yoga family was filled with wonder, awe, and amazing sights, smells, and sounds. Every emotion that you have ever felt will surface and request your attention while you explore the practice of yoga in this magical, mystical land called Rishikesh. Well thought out and planned activities: attending a puja ceremony, meditating in a cave, hiking the Himalayas, white water rafting on the Ganges, and outreach with the children of the Kushi School, were made so much more special, SHARING it TOGETHER with this group of 305 yogis. I formed lasting bonds, forever friendships, and a love of India that will never die.

My trip to India a few years ago with my friend and teacher Terri Cooper was a radical turning point in my life. There is something so magical about that sacred land. At first I was forced to confront shadows I didn’t even know I had – which then created the space I needed to experience profound spiritual awakenings and personal growth which have continued ever since. Thank you Terri, for creating the opportunity of a lifetime.

Since 2009, we’ve stayed at our accommodations at Sattva Rishikesh every year. While humble, it’s our home away from home, and we are always treated like family. This hotel is surrounded by ancient temples, with incredible views of the mountains, the Ganges River and the famous Laxman Jhula suspension bridge.
Located in the heart of the village, retreaters can look out onto the streets from the penthouse restaurant to see monkeys and roaming sacred cows. Right outside our accommodations, explore hundreds of village merchants and boutiques to purchase beautiful gem stones, mala beads, tapestry and more.
Our rooms are simple, yet clean and safe. Each room has its own private bath. Our hotel is one of the only area properties with hot water, internet wi-fi, and western toilets. The friendly hotel staff is practically family by now, and our trip helps to provide jobs and income to local villagers.

Three delicious vegetarian meals will be provided daily. Even the most dedicated carnivore will not go hungry.  Local organic vegetables, rice, soups, and Dal are sure to keep you satisfied. And, not to worry, the chef knows how to make it not spicy so even the most gentle Western pallet will be fine.

Each day will offer unique Indian excursions. We will explore sacred sites, participate in fire ceremonies and will have time to connect and have fun with local children.

Each morning will begin with a practice led by Terri. These classes will be themed to support you as you process all that India presents. Gentle, Vinyasa, Alignment, Yin Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation will all be utilized to ensure you stay grounded and open.
